Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before purchasing any service from Florida Driving Academy LLC ("the Academy," "we," "us"). By completing a purchase, you ("you," "the Student," "the Guardian") agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Scheduling and Cancellation
  • 24-Hour Notice: All cancellations or requests to reschedule a driving session must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
  • Late Cancellation Fee: A cancellation made less than 24 hours before a session will incur a $50.00 Late Cancellation Fee, which must be paid before any future sessions can be booked.
  • No-Show: Failure to appear for a scheduled session without prior notice will result in the forfeiture of that session and any fees paid for it.
2. Student Conduct and Responsibilities
  • Learner's Permit: The Student must have their valid Florida Learner's Permit in their possession for every scheduled driving lesson and must inform the instructor of any restrictions.
  • Readiness to Drive: The Student must be in a fit and proper state to drive. They must not be under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any medication that could impair their ability to operate a vehicle safely. The instructor reserves the right to cancel a lesson at the Student's expense if they are deemed unfit to drive.
  • Professional Conduct: The Student agrees to follow all instructions from the instructor and to treat instructors, staff, and Academy property with respect.
3. Dress Code
To ensure safety and compliance, all students must adhere to the following dress code for all behind-the-wheel instruction:
  • Footwear: Shoes must securely cover the entire foot, including the toe and heel. Athletic shoes or sneakers are recommended. Sandals, flip-flops, slides, or high heels are strictly prohibited.
  • Attire: Clothing should be comfortable and appropriate for operating a vehicle. Low-cut tops, halter tops, or shorts less than three (3) inches above the knee are not permitted.
4. Payments and Refunds
  • Payment: All services must be paid in full prior to scheduling unless a specific payment plan has been arranged.
  • Refunds for Single Sessions: Payments for single, one-off driving lessons are non-refundable.
  • Refunds for Packages: For multi-session packages, refunds are handled according to the terms of the signed Student Enrollment Agreement.
5. Liability
  • The Academy maintains all necessary liability insurance as required by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV).
  • The Student and/or Guardian agree to release the Academy from any liability for personal injury or property damage, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Academy or its instructors.
6. Guests
For safety and to ensure the Student receives the instructor's full attention, guests or passengers are not permitted in the training vehicle during driving sessions.
